Vin Dahake leads solutions architecture for AGS Tech at AWS, and I grabbed him for a few minutes at the NY Tech Summit to ask what the whole week was really for. His answers have stuck with me as I head into re:Invent season. A few things he said that I keep coming back to: • AI fluency was the throughline. He wants every SA walking out feeling ready to build with generative and agentic AI, and comfortable doing it. • The SA job keeps moving toward hands-on work. Less slideware, more building alongside the customer. • His top advice for attendees was to go make at least five new friends. With the pace things are changing, word of mouth from a peer you trust is how most of us actually decide what to try next. • He talked about how much human connection we lost during COVID, and how a room full of builders is one of the better ways to rebuild it. That last one is a big part of why I love doing these hallway interviews (my own opinion). t.co/yTJ7Uf13Xh #AWS #TechBites #AgenticAI
