Sister Bianca (right) and Vivian are new in here. Both are lops and only around 4-5 months old, they've not had the best of starts buts hopefully we can find them a good new home. They should be on our website at the weekend all being well. #rabbits#Bunnies#AdoptDontShop 🐰 t.co/1rZWK8zh9T
As today is All Hallows Eve and the sun was shining, I took Fluffy out to visit the place where his dad and all the other little ones who've left us over the years are buried. 🌈
He was a really good boy and behaved perfectly. Just as he always does when we visit the hill.
He knows it's a special place.
We were there for a while, thinking about his dad.
And I recounted tales of his adventures and asked Fluff if he remembered him.
Then little boy had a wash and, as he always does when we go for a walk, a quiet snooze. Enjoying what's probably the very last warmth of the sun before the depth of winter.
But before we went indoors, in memory of all the little souls from the sanctuary who've left us, I recited to Fluff my bunny version of the Norse prayer ~
"Lo, there do I see my father.
Lo, there do I see my mother, and my sisters, and my brothers.
Lo, there do I see the line of my kin,
Back to the beginning.
Lo, they do call to me.
They bid me take my place among them,
Upon the sunlit fields of another realm.
Where the innocent may dwell forever."
Tonight, on the eve of Samhain, All Hallows Eve, amongst the spooky fun and celebrations, please remember what it's about, folks.
It's Celtic origin, it's true meaning.
Reflect upon on the ones you've loved and lost throughout the years. Remember them.
And all those many generations who went before us.
Happy Halloween, everyone. 🐰❤️
This is Fizz who arrived yesterday, she was found in the road in Prestwich and handed into a nearby vet surgery, no one has claimed her so she's come here to find a new home hopefully. She seems in good health and is quite friendly & confident. #rabbits#bunnies#saturdaymorningt.co/k7QfqPSg2E
