A debut novel just got pulled from France’s most prestigious literary prize over an anonymous tweet and an AI detector score. The author says he only used “assistive” AI for research. @silentroomjrnl I ran a page from a well known book, written long before any of this, through a detector and it came back as AI. Same with something I typed by hand. Hard to see how a score like that can cost someone a prize.
