PLEDGING FOR A SAFER DIGITAL WORLD Students of Navy Children School, Delhi took a Cyber Safety Pledge to practice responsible digital behaviour, protect personal information & promote a safe & secure online environment. #CyberPledge #BeSafeOnline t.co/zBQ6eEMj1h

#securemak #cybersecurityawareness Tip 5: Be Cautious of Free Public WiFi "You can never know who is behind that Public WiFi. What’s free comes at a cost. Your data, credentials, etc." @Makerere we only have two recognized WiFi: MakAIR and @RENU_256 Eduroam. #BeSafeOnline t.co/01SqcphoZv

#CyberMonday If it's not @RENU_256 Eduroam or MaKAIR. DICTS doesn't know about it except for a few exceptions that have been administratively set up at specific locations. To use Eduroam or MakAIR: Your University email address is the key authentication means. #BeSafeOnline t.co/A9BXaI0kQx

#CyberMonday The moment one hears: FREE WIFI, there is that urge of let me maximize the opportunity. Hackers are great psychologists & they know people will want to use these free services. Research shows that people still use Public WiFi to transact, check email, etc. #BeAlert https://t.co/a99m1GcHFP

“Years ago, our parents taught us to watch out for strangers on the road. Today, let us also teach children to recognise the strangers behind the screens.” Joan Marinah Ndagire, Digital Security Ambassador, @TaibahIntSchool #BeACyberHero #NextMediaUG #BeSafeOnline t.co/k7E8zJQVjt

Urgency indeed is a scammers favorite weapon and they use all sorts of engineering tricks. They are aware of what’s happening through reconnaissance. People have to be vigilant at all times. Why “Act now” when you weren’t involved in the first place. #BeSafeOnline

Centenary Bank@CentenaryBank

Urgency is a fraudster’s favourite weapon. “Act now.” “Your account will be blocked.” “Send this code immediately.” When a message pressures you to act before you think, pause. Verify the request through official Centenary Bank channels: 0800200555/0800335344 before taking any action. Don’t let panic make the decision for you. #TosuulaStep #CentenaryBank

#CyberMonday Now you can't even see the fake email because they hid it. Scammers get more wise, & they know that users won't pay attention to certain things. Remember to be on high alert. Prevention is better than cure. #BeSafeOnline More in this VIDEO: t.co/B9s7kqwKgS

#CyberMonday If there is anything we continue to learn in cyberspace. Hackers won't stop because you have improved. Hackers are also working night & day to improve their attack mechanisms. Social engineering continues to be their go-to tricks. Email is still number one. #BeAlert https://t.co/lWoiKhqdBF

#CyberMondays Impersonators know how to use time effectively. They get to your immediate contacts without your knowledge & by the time you report, people have been scammed. Always be on the lookout & don't assume that email lingering in your inbox is legitimate. #BeSafeOnline t.co/jstijhMIlr
